Reduction of food loss in breakfast buffet dishes

Food loss is a problem in which food that is still good enough to eat is thrown away. To solve this problem, a portion of the food is placed in a small bowl 30 minutes before the end of business hours.
We replenish the food depending on the number of customers who come to the restaurant.

HokkaidoThe Eco-Cap Campaign

Eco-Cap Recycling and Reuse
If you throw away plastic bottle caps as regular trash instead of recycling them as “Eco-Caps,” they will be incinerated or sent to landfills as general waste, becoming a source of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, contaminating the soil, and damaging the global environment.

HokkaidoThrough the Eco-Cap Campaign, we are working to create employment opportunities for seniors and people with disabilities at facilities that receive, sort, and crush Eco-Caps. Furthermore, we use a portion of the profits from the Eco-Cap recycling business to support children battling intractable diseases through the organization Hokkaido.

Through Eco-Cap recycling and resource recovery, let’s bring dreams, hope, and smiles to the children at Hokkaidowho are battling intractable diseases.

HokkaidoThe Eco-Cap Campaign

To reduce environmental impact and create a recycling-oriented society,
we aim tobe a corporate citizen that is friendly to people and the earth.

Since our founding, we at Fujita Kanko have operated under the corporate philosophy: “We aspire to contribute to the realization of a vibrant and prosperous society by providing wholesome places of relaxation and warm service.” Guided by this philosophy, we have recognized “environmental initiatives” and “efforts to embrace diverse values” as essential and vital to our sustainable growth as a company, and have actively pursued them. These initiatives are closely aligned with the concept of sustainability, which aims to realize a sustainable society.Moving forward, we will continue to strive to resolve social issues and realize a sustainable society through our business operations.

What are the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)?

Adopted at the UN Summit in September 2015, it is an international goal to be achieved by 2030 and consists of 17 goals and 169 targets to eradicate poverty and realize a sustainable society. All stakeholders, including companies, governments, and NPOs, are expected to work together to implement this plan.
