Please note that these changes will apply to stays beginning March 1, 2026, regardless of the date of payment or reservation.
The revised lodging tax rates are as follows .
A tax will be levied per guest per night according to the following categories.
| Room rates (per person per night) | Until February 28, 2026 | From March 1, 2026 |
| Less than 6,000 yen | 200円 | 200円 |
| 6,000 yen or more but less than 20,000 yen | 200円 | 400円 |
| 20,000 yen or more but less than 50,000 yen | 500円 | 1,000円 |
| 50,000 yen or more but less than 100,000 yen | 1,000円 | 4,000円 |
| 100,000 yen or more | 1,000円 | 10,000円 |
