At WHG Hotels, we provide toothbrushes, razors, and folding hairbrushes made from biodegradable biopolymers derived 100% from biomass that are biodegradable even in seawater. We ask for your cooperation in reducing plastic waste.

WHG Hotels supports the United Nations World Food Programme’s (WFP) mission to end hunger and poverty and is participating in the “Red Cup” Campaign“ Campaign” initiative through its WHG Original Coffee. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this product will be donated to underprivileged children suffering from hunger.

Elimination of plastic straws

As part of our efforts to address the global problem of marine pollution, we have switched from plastic straws to paper or biodegradable plastic straws.

Promoting "eco-cleaning

With the goal of protecting the global environment, and with the understanding and cooperation of our guests, we offer the “Eco-Cleaning” service at Guest Roomsfor guests staying multiple nights. By reducing the energy consumption associated with housekeeping and laundry services, we are working together with our guests to cut CO2 emissions. Please note that we also offer a “Full Cleaning” service upon request.

Promoting "eco-cleaning

Reduction of food loss in breakfast buffet dishes

Food waste—the problem of perfectly edible food being thrown away. To address this issue, we are implementing the following measures: Thirty minutes before closing time, we transfer some of the dishes to smaller serving dishes. We restock the dishes as needed based on customer traffic.

LED / Power Saving

We are helping to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by installing LED lights throughout all Guest Roomsand actively implementing energy-saving measures in our back-office operations.

Universal Room

The entire facility, from the entrance to the guest rooms, is completely flat and barrier-free. In addition to offering accessible rooms, the facility welcomes service dogs and provides wheelchairs for rent.

What are the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)?

Adopted at the UN Summit in September 2015, it is an international goal to be achieved by 2030 and consists of 17 goals and 169 targets to eradicate poverty and realize a sustainable society. All stakeholders, including companies, governments, and NPOs, are expected to work together to implement this plan.
